Cozy City Gem truly lived up to its name. The entire property felt intentional and carefully thought out, with a cozy atmosphere that made it easy to settle in and feel at home. It was close enough to quickly get to everything we needed in St. Louis, while still being tucked away enough to feel quiet and secluded. The use of space was especially well done. Everything felt purposeful, from the compact kitchenware that maximized space for other comforts to the dedicated laundry area, gym, and office. The layout had a thoughtful flow and never felt cramped. The backyard was incredibly peaceful, quiet enough that squirrels and rabbits would regularly wander through and visit. The air conditioning and fans worked wonderfully and kept the house extremely comfortable. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels and extras available, and the home had all the little touches that made an extended stay much easier. What made this stay especially memorable, though, was the hospitality of the property owner. We were in St. Louis because my wife was undergoing an intensive surgery, and unfortunately the surgery date remained uncertain until nearly the last minute. Once everything was finalized, we realized we needed to remain in town longer than originally anticipated. We reached out hoping to extend our stay. Although the owner ultimately couldn’t accommodate the extension because of existing commitments, he went far beyond simply telling us the property was unavailable. He explored other options and properties for us and even offered to open a new property earlier than planned in an effort to accommodate our situation. We ultimately made other arrangements and didn’t need to take him up on that offer, but his willingness to go that far meant a great deal to us during an already stressful time. That kind of effort says a lot about someone. It showed a genuine commitment not only to providing a great property, but to taking care of the people staying in it.

The driveway is a little steep for parking, but we simply parked along the road and had no issues.

It was in a great and safe location for all of our activities. It furnished well and had everything we needed. We also took advantage of the host’s restaurant recommendations.
