The location was amazing - right in the heart of Myeongdong and close to metro station! The facilities were also really good and we enjoyed our breakfast here.
We should have upgraded to a bigger room with windows because after a few days we really missed the sunlight and fresh air. Plus the room itself was a bit smaller than we expected. We know next time!

Self Check in Love it!

The lobby was inviting and the self check-in process was smooth. The bed was comfortable.
My room was not spotless. There was a hair in the shower upon my arrival and the mirror was not wiped properly. I did not use the bathroom slippers because they had the previous guest’s toothpaste stains on them. I also did not like that toilet paper could not be flushed and had to be disposed of in the trash can next to it. The trash can had a poor design (you have to touch the lid to put used toilet paper into it) which felt unsanitary and I even saw old stains on the bottom of the lid (yuck!!). At least the trash was emptied during my consecutive stay, so there was no smell. The bathroom was also very small and it was annoying to squeeze through the narrow space between the door and the sink/shower area. Another note is that the room was extremely hot and stuffy when I checked in. I did not realize that the room had A/C because I had received an email communication saying that rooms did not have individual temperature control and that the only way to adjust it is by opening a window. Thankfully I saw the A/C unit later in the day. Another thing I have to note is that the location is terrible. It’s my fault for not researching enough before booking, but please stay away from the Myeongdong area if you want to avoid droves of tourists. It was exhausting to get to the hotel after a long day out and then having to deal with crowds of clueless foreigners trying to buy mass produced keychains outside. The price was very expensive considering that it is a hostel. And do not expect much from the breakfast. It’s good if you’re someone who just needs something in their belly to start the day, but the selection was poor and the coffee was weak. The cooked eggs were stored on the counter all day (not sure how safe that is?). The last thing that someone else looking to book this place should know is that there was a large, bright exit sign in my room that shone towards the bed. If you are sensitive to light and need a dark room to sleep, avoid this place.
