The design was phenomenal. This is a restored 1940s building, and instead of stripping away its character, everything is built around it — the original spiral staircase is still at the heart of the building, and soft archways frame the public spaces. Natural light floods in.
We stayed in the Kodrian King room, and adored the finishes -stone. walnut, linen. Nothing generic or "hotel standard." It was compact but so well laid out it never felt small.
The location was excellent too — a quiet street between Plaka and Syntagma, an easy walk to the Acropolis, but tucked away from the noise. Quiet nights, everything within walking distance.
Small, thoughtfully designed, and genuinely Athenian. Highly recommend.
