A wonderful last-minute find with unforgettable views!
We booked Maison Magnolia very last minute and couldn’t believe our luck. The villa is so beautiful, peaceful and stylish, but the real highlight is the setting – the views over Skopelos Town, the harbour and the Aegean are simply stunning.
I was a little worried after reading a previous traveller’s comment about the road up the hillside, but honestly, we didn’t find it that difficult. It’s worth mentioning that this is the public road serving all the houses scattered across the hillside above Skopelos Town, rather than a private access road only to the villa. Take it slowly the first time and you soon get used to it – and it’s absolutely worth it for the views and setting once you’re up there.
Communication with the host was fantastic: incredibly helpful, responsive and welcoming, especially considering our spontaneous booking.
The location is perfect – tucked into the hillside, yet just a stone’s throw above Skopelos Town, with its whitewashed houses, cobbled lanes, little churches, bougainvillea and lovely harbourfront tavernas and cafés.
A fantastic last-minute discovery. We only wish we could have stayed longer and would return without hesitation!

The villa is set high above Skopelos overlooking the town.The views from every part of the villa were amazing.The villa itself was well equipped and comfortable, with lots of unique furnishings, which added to its character.
Good communication from the host,who gave us lots of extra information and recommendations.
The road up to the villa is very steep and narrow with lots of hairpin bends.A small car is definitely needed to get your luggage up there,but the road is walkable into town during the day,if you’re relatively fit and want the exercise!
