Staying at Francesco’s & Katia’s apartment has been one of the best experiences I have ever had while on vacation. The apartment is simply beautiful and looks exactly as in the photos. It is extremely tastefully decorated and within seconds of walking in we knew that we had discovered a gem. The place is large, very well furnished and has everything you would need (and more) for a comfortable stay. We felt at home right away.
But the best part of the deal wasn’t the apartment itself but rather all that Francesco & Katia did to make our stay comfortable as well as memorable. To start with there was a bottle of cold Spumante waiting for us in the fridge. I can imagine no better welcome on a hot summer day than a glass of cold sparkling wine! The next evening Francesco wrote to say that he was baking something and offered to bake an orange cake for us. I mean, c’mon! How could we say No to that? And if that wasn’t enough, the following day he wrote to say that they were making a tomato sauce for their family dinner and could make some for us as well. How amazing is that? And, believe me, it was the best tomato sauce I have ever had on a pasta.
This incredible hospitality continued … A few days later, while asking some questions about the region, I mentioned in passing, that one day I would love to discover the countryside in that part of Umbria. And Francesco immediately offered to drive me around and show me the hills and woods around Valfabbrica. No host I have come across has ever done so much. Francesco & Katia are really special!
And, as is evident from the map, the apartment is very well located. Perugia, Gubbio and Assisi are just a short drive away. And even the towns that are a bit further – Spello, Spoleto, Norcia, etc. are easily reached. We were able to visit them all without getting tired.
So, needless to say, I highly recommend this apartment and look forward to returning to it one day soon. Thank you Francesco & Katia!

La cosa che ho apprezzato di più, oltre alla struttura che è molto pulita e accogliente, è il parcheggio, il parchetto di fronte la struttura e la posizione in generale.

The house was beautifully decorated and was a great size for 4 adults and a baby. There was obvious attention to detail and everything was perfect. Champagne and a children’s juice welcomed us. Everything was pristine. They accommodated our child well with a crib, high chair, and toys.

Francesco‘s & Katia's apartment is really a “home from home“, beautifully decorated, with great attention to detail in every respect.
Francesco was very helpful throughout, well before we had every set foot in Italy. The apartment itself was spotless and spacious, with ample space for three people to stay comfortably during the stay. It was well-equipped for the expected daily needs.
The apartment has access to free street parking a few metres away, next to a playground, so very handy for those with children.
Valfabbrica is an hidden gem in central Italy, a lovely village in the Umbrian countryside, which also benefits from being less touristy than Assisi, yet bearing close distance to Perugia airport and Assisi. At closing walking distance, is the main village square, boasting two pizzerias, a cafe, a wine merchant , butcher and a little grocery and everything.
For those who appreciate the countryside, there is easy access to picturesque walks around Valfabbrica, with a small lake nearby.
We highly recommend the place - thank you Francesco & Katia for making our stay so special, having gone above and beyond.
We will definitely come back !
