Very well equipped, very comfortable, location is ideal with everything you could want within a 5-10 minute walk, nice and quiet off the main roads, parking available outside the property in a no through road

The location was very central. It is a very sweet clean little house. It has a little garden which would be lovely to use in good weather. Tea coffee and milk were provided by the hosts.
We struggled to actually find it so a bit more of an actual description of its location would have helped rather than just the post code. Also we found the lock a bit tricky. There is obviously a “knack”. The key had to be at a 9 o’clock position to remove it rather than a 6 o’clock.

The cottage was spotlessly clean. The owners have done a great job renovating the property and I especially loved the large, bright, airy, modern bathroom with a spacious shower unit. The cottage was very well-equipped with many extra touches. I loved the hooks behind doors - so useful but so many places don't think to have them.
The information provided was concise (2-3 sheets of A4 if I remember correctly) but perfectly adequate. Much easier for guests to get it right if they don't have to wade through folders of Dos and Don'ts.
My husband is visually impaired and has difficulties with his balance. The steepness of the stairs and lack of handrail ought perhaps to be mentioned in the description of the cottage so that people can decide whether or not it might be a problem for them (we managed). Also, if anyone went to the loo in the night and - being away from home - became disoriented and turned right instead of left to get back to the bedroom, there is a possibility they could go headlong down the stairs which are bang outside the bathroom door. Perhaps some sort of sensor/nightlight in that small landing area might help?
