Had a very pleasant stay at Sham-e-Banaras Hotel, Varanasi. The owner is very soft-spoken, welcoming, and helpful, which made the stay even more comfortable. The chef and helper were also polite and supportive, and the food was really good.
The main highlight for me was the cleanliness and hygiene of the rooms. The rooms were well-maintained and comfortable.
One area that needs improvement is mosquitoes—proper mosquito control would make the overall experience even better.
Overall, a comfortable and hygienic stay with warm hospitality. Would definitely recommend it! 👍✨

Nice building, nice room, helpful owner Mukul when I arrived later than intended from a long bus trip from Kathmandu. Nice space to rest and work from, even if a little out of the main town
Nothing bad, all good. Would recommend sticking a little table and 2 chairs on the outside terrace

The room was spotless, beautifully done, and had that authentic Banaras charm I was hoping for. Bed was super comfortable, amenities were all there, and check-in was smooth.
But the real highlight was the service. The staff went above and beyond at every step. Quick responses, genuine care, and attention to detail that you rarely see. Felt more like being hosted by family than staying at a hotel.
If you’re visiting Banaras and want comfort + hospitality that exceeds expectations, this is the place. I’ll definitely be back and will recommend it to everyone.
