It was fine for a short visit (2 or 3 nights). Neat and tidy. Very well designed to provide a dining table, kitchen and sitting room in a small space. Lovely to have a garden to enjoy fresh air and sun. Nicely decorated. A lovely welcome basket of goodies on arrival.
The accommodation is advertised as pet-friendly so we took our dog with us. There were two problems with this. Firstly the front door opened onto a busy street - the dog would never have stood a chance is she walked out of the property to the street. Secondly, although there was a fence around the back garden, the dog escaped within the first few minutes. She is a cockapoo (height of a cocker spaniel). She crept under the back gate very easily. We blocked this escape route by placing one of the municipal bins on its side. And then we noticed the left side of the shed also had restricted access - the dog could have become stuck in this narrow gap. We blocked that area as well.
The car needed to be parked in its space by reversing in. When we first arrived the road was very busy, and it was difficult to manage this.
The second bedroom with its twin beds was very small.
There were no pods for the washing machine.

Comfortable and clean cottage with parking right by the door. Eccleston has everything you need in easy walking distance including a small Sainsbury's, bakeries, Italian restaurant, takeaways, coffee shops, enormous antique/junk shop etc and a wonderful dog groomer just across the road who opened up early to give our mucky pup a bath.
