We went there for the Coelmo Half Marathon in February. Location is good for reaching the Expo / Start by walking. Good restaurants in the surrounding. Honest food at good prices at Ristorante Pizzeria Aglio, Olio E... the neighborhood is lively day and night.
The hotel is situated in a regular apartment building on an entire floor (this is not a problem whatsoever). The access though is done ringing three times. We have asked for codes for two of them but after asking several times. The property has very poor sound insulation. You can hear everything from reception, breakfast room, other guests rooms. This was the most annoying thing. We could hear the buzz every time someone came in or any discussion at the reception. On top of that despite the curtains parking access lights and facade lighting are on all night. You cannot tell if it is day or night outside. Additionally, for getting to the city one option is line 6. We did not know that this stops working at 14:30 every day. So useless. You can take buses (101 and 151 have stations just in front) but they are unreliable and have to cross the tunnel so heavy traffic. Most reliable is metro line 2 or any other train line.
