The Manor House is the heart of Barton Court, a Georgian country estate on the western slopes of the Malvern Hills. It offers eleven bedrooms, eleven bathrooms, plenty of space for twenty-six to spread out, with its own two acres of private garden and access to more extensive grounds.
Originally built in the eighteenth century as a gift of love, to woo an heiress, it has been sympathetically restored to include all modern comforts. So decorative plasterwork, generous fireplaces and tall sash windows combine seamlessly with underfloor heating and good WiFi. Guests say it feels like being in a period drama, without any of the discomfort.
The dining room seats thirty-four comfortably - more at a push.
If you need more than twenty-six, the whole estate is available separately - the Manor plus four further houses in the grounds, sleeping forty in all.
