Stylish, clean and comfortable cottage. Made a great base for a lovely time in Yorkshire. The Brontë birthplace house just a few minutes walk away, and Haworth for more Brontë pilgrimage, Halifax for a concert at the Piece Hall and beautiful Saltaire all do-able car journeys away.
Nothing - the cottage was beautifully fitted out and had everything you'd need.
Parking isn't by the property, it's on quite a steep street and then you go through a little ginnel to get to the property. We didn't have a problem with that, but could be a bit dark at night. Thornton is just a village, so don't expect a cracking nightlife or massive choice of eating places, we did have a nice meal at the curry house and a pleasant lunch at the New Inn.

Beautiful cosy cottage that made a lovely relaxing weekend.
Everything was homely and spotless, with everything you could possibly need from toiletries to nice touches like treats in a basket.

Lovely bedding at the house. Very cute record player, and several other touches!
It was a short walk to the Thornton Viaduct which we did in the evening, with thanks to the handy booklet the hosts had provided for ideas for local attractions.

The cottage is laid out really well and decorated to a high standard. The roll top bath is a unique addition. There are good amenities in the property that made it easy to stay as a family. It’s a lovely peaceful and quiet location.
Slightly awkward parking/getting to the cottage. There were no bin bags which was slightly inconvenient.
