This guesthouse is slightly out of town, still within walking distance but far enough to really be in the countryside, and the owner was very kind and offered to drive me from and to the station, and to the monkey park and back from town after. He also gave me great recommendations, it is close to shibu onsen and another small onsen a short walk away where you can have dinner. I was the only one there when I went and I was surprised because it’s very comfortable and a great deal.
The washing machine was more expensive than others I’ve seen, but that’s all! The stay was great

My favorite place to stay during my whole trip in Japan! I highly recommend paying a little extra for the breakfast; delicious and hearty!Yoshiro is an excellent cook and host! He can also pick you up and drop you off anywhere nearby. Snow monkey place is less than a 10 min drive from the parking lot entrance! Definitely, going to book again when I come back!

The owner is super friendly and drives you everywhere, which is nice. The place is cozy in the mountains and there are good onsen around. Overall it's a great place to explore Shibu Onsen.
It's not in Shibu Onsen, but another town, so to get to Shibu Onsen you need to be driven (about an 8 minute drive), but he's super friendly and down to take you wherever.

Value for what you got was great in my opinion.
It was close to an onsen and dinner place that the owner recommended. The prices there were great as well and it was far enough out of town that it was not so busy with tourists. I went there every night after skiing to relax with a bath and have a nice meal.
It was a little far out of town but the owner was very accommodating in driving me too and from the train station or in to get groceries. Didn’t expect it but very grateful for the service!
