Beautifully maintained and well equipped cottage in a perfect location.
Everything was great, some observations….
The lighting in the stairwell was very bright, particularly if someone gets up on the night.
Lounge layout was a little big restricting but fine for a few days. If no room for additional table seating, perhaps some trays for eating dinner off of.

It was clean, well presented and reasonable value. It is close to Beccles Quay and Lidl and Knead Bakery are close by.
The stairs are horrendous and we don’t know how they pass safety checks. They are an extremely steep, narrow (carpeted) spiral staircase with virtually a sheer drop to the kitchen. There’s just a rope, no proper banister, each step is narrow but very steep and it felt like an orienteering exercise to go to bed! To make matters worse there’s no bathroom upstairs so anyone with mobility issues or regularly needing to visit a toilet, this house is not likely to suit, which wasn’t advertised when booking the property. We couldn’t manage to get our bags upstairs. A sofa bed in the lounge might help though unable to access upstairs.
Outside the front, the parking space is very small and access is challenging, best to reverse up the gravel road (which is noisy). The area is also plagued by very noisy sea gulls, which started in the early hours. There was no fan upstairs but leaving the windows open meant a very noisy night!
