We have been going to the lakes for several years. It was our first time at Lake Constance. Überlingen is a beautiful location for our activities (cycling, kayaking, paddleboarding). The city has about 23 thousand inhabitants and is very nicely laid out. The evening promenade is great with lots of options and sometimes with musical performances. There are docks from where a boat can take you to interesting places. Our accommodation was really beautiful. It is about 1 km from the lake, but in a nice, quiet new neighborhood. The distance didn't bother us at all, we enjoyed walking or cycling. We prefer independence in terms of food and deciding when and where we go and what we visit. A large, bright apartment with a living area, a perfectly equipped kitchenette (a microwave oven would be useful for quickly heating food), a bathroom with a toilet and a bedroom with a massive and comfortable bed. Plenty of storage space. There are electrically controlled outdoor blinds on the windows, which very well replace the currently missing air conditioning. (I think there will be air conditioning soon.) In the hot weather, the owner quickly got us two fans. The apartment also had many beautiful accessories. The apartment has a garden with seating and a bicycle rack. The car park is right next to the accommodation and is large enough. The owner Katrin is very nice and helpful, she was waiting for us to hand over the keys, and she immediately solved and helped with anything we needed. Communication was great in English. Thank you very much for the beautiful facilities on our holiday and the warm welcome, and if possible we would be happy to come back again.
There is nothing negative. Maybe only that the beautiful time of stay passed very quickly. :-)
