I travel for work about 300 nights a year, and I was looking for a unique stay to undo some of the generic, corporate hotels I’m usually in. I stayed in The Heritage Suite, which was clean, spacious, peaceful, and lovely. The grounds offered easy, close parking, and a beautiful mineral pool. Tracy was a gracious and attentive concierge host.
I didn’t fully understand that this property is owned by a local business and has 3 sleeping rooms available but no staff working onsite. The host was available via phone, text, and email, and stopped by with a gift basket and introduced herself. There was a young couple with small children also staying there. I was not expecting to be staying somewhere that included other patrons when there’s not a homeowner or manager onsite, but I had a great stay, and in the end it didn’t seem to matter. I would’ve liked to have seen a sign marking the property or see bigger, refreshed address numbers on the mailbox. I drove around the block once and then felt a little nervous pulling up the long driveway in a rural area when there were no signs or any cars and
then approaching the front door. Overall, these concerns were overshadowed by a beautifully unique experience, and I will definitely stay here again.
