Бажано,щоб побутова хімія для миття посуду або чистки була кращою по якості із урахуванням,що це публічне місце і миття вручну неможливо з неефективними миючими засобами. Бажаю віднайти інвестора,щоб перетворити кімнати на більш затишний та сучасний стиль (світло,дизайн кімнат)

Привітна адміністраторка. Я приїхала після 23:00, вона мене дочекалась, заселила, все показала, розповіла. Людей в хостелі було мало, тому вона мене заселила в порожню кімнату. Видала безкоштовно рушник. В номері чисто, як і в загальному в хостелі (в туалеті, в душових, на кухні). На кухні є посуд і всі зручності для того, щоб приготувати собі поїсти.
Тонкі стіни, дуже чутно сусідів, але можна попросити або адміна або самих гостей не шуміти. Також з мінусів для мене була щілина між дверима і підлогою через яку проходило світло з коридора, але можна або надягнути маску для сну або прикрити чимось цю щілину. І також не вистачило якогось нічника біля ліжка, потрібно було йти вимикати основне світло, але це вже дрібниці.

I'm a foreign pro-UA volunteer, and had some off-time in Kyiv again, so I decided to try the opposite side of the city, as I was staying near Akademmistechko last time. This place is truly great for the money. I don't even know what to write, literally no major complaints.
Everything was reasonably clean. There are good facilities (including a fully equipped kitchen with a stove). Showers and bathrooms with running water (and no hot water outages!). Seriously, what more do you need?
Also, all the people are super friendly and welcoming.
There is a free Wifi connection of usable quality.
The beds are comfortable, one had a wonky mattress, but that was not an issue, as I was staying solo in a 4-bed room.
The immediate surroundings might not look the nicest (industrial/logistical area), but the overall location is very good. It's close to the Metro station Lisova (M1), and there are many shopping options close by. If you need a big store, there is a Novus within a walkable distance. When hungry and not in the mood to cook, you can also take a short walk (or ride) to a Puzhata Hata near Chernihivska (the next metro station), as this location in particular was not very crowded, and had all the food to choose from, even later in the afternoon or evening.
If I'm staying in this part of Kyiv again, the Trinity Hous will probably be my first choice, if it stays this affordable.
Just some generally minor issues: The website said you can pay via credit card - you can't. So I tried a bank transfer from my bank, which didn't go through, so I had to go get cash (beware, some ATMs and Cash Exchanges have insanely bad fees/rates).
If you only speak English, you are going to have a tough time (but that's true for most of Ukraine), as learning western languages wasn't exactly supported under the russian influence. But with my bare minimum (very bad) Ukrainian, I didn't encounter much problems at this location.
While there is a free Wifi, the coverage in my room (#6) was not the strongest or most stable. Pretty much anywhere else it was fast and rock-solid, so not a big deal.
Also, as of 2026 the russcist regime's invasion unfortunately sometimes reaches Kyiv, and there were some ballistic missile impacts in the area, but that's nothing new or unusual for me. During one of the strikes, the entire east side of Kyiv got completely cut-off for several hours. No metro, no busses, no available taxis. If you have to be on time for something important, in such situation, tough luck, you're just not making it.
But that's definitely NOT a fault of the accommodation, just something to keep in mind if you are thinking of coming to Ukraine for the first time.
