Proximity to both Hedingham Castle where we were attending an event, and The Bell pub where we were able to eat dinner and enjoy a pint. Plus the owners were lovely!
The only downside for us was being disturbed by overnight traffic noise. It was completely unexpected, but we could hear every car/moped which drove past during the night/early morning, and we didn’t have any windows open. However, if you’re not bothered by that, then this is a perfect place to stay.

I can only repeat other guest reviews fom the first year (2026). Everything was lovely - apartment, garden/patio, location, comfort and space. And of course, the super hosts, S & J.
We stayed for a week, and the hosts, noticing this, wanted to be very clear and messaged us before our stay to highlight the fact that cooking facilities are limited - microwave, toaster, very good coffee machine and kettle. As it was, we stayed during a heatwave and we were quite happy with salads and other cold food!
Tall guests might bump their head on the sloping bedroom ceiling if they are not careful!

Beautifully decorated and equipped. Lovely bathroom and two WC. Patio area with furniture. Comfy King size bed. Welcome tea, coffee. Ideal location for visiting Hedingham Castle. Lovely local pubs and restaurants. Private parking. Friendly and helpful hosts.
The torrential rain but there is nothing the Coach House could do about that.

Wow, what a great stay !
We spent 2 nights here to cover a day function at the very nearby Hedingham Castle (amazing)
Simon met us and gave a quick tour of the property and handed over the keys.
The cottage is amazing, beautifully kitted out with everything you need for a quick stay.
It is immaculate, tastefully decorated and incredibly comfortable.
We took basic breakfast provisions- eating out at one of the nearby pubs (The Bell)- the hospitality and food there was just what we needed after a long drive
Everything from the bed linen to the towels is of the highest quality.
Really cannot rate our stay highly enough- if we are ever 'down south' again we will definitely return !
