The Cross Inn

The Continental breakfast was very good, plenty of choice. Evening Menu was excellent, Thai food was reasonably priced and cooked to perfection.

Loved the surprise Thai-only menu.

Bathroom looked refurbished and in nicer condition than the room itself. Once I'd got over first impression of room, it was perfect size for single person and quite homely.

Surface of table was filthy on my arrival, clearly not wiped down - which gave me a poor first impression that room not clean, however the rest was fine. Thw walls and corridors looked a bit scruffy and generally needs painted/refreshed. Lots of noise from outside of room.... zero soundproofing. Difficult to close window due to no proper handle. Understand it is a very, very old property though....but room refresh/brightening would make a positive difference i feel.

It was in a good location for us. Our room was fine.

Unfortunately no food on when we were there. Filthy carpets up the hall. Was looking forward to my croissant for breakfast but it was rather stodgy and not a light flaky texture.
