George and Eleni were wonderful hosts, we were pleasantly surprised to find that their home did not feel at all like run of the mill rental property with a commercial atmosphere, but instead truly like a warm, lived-in home that was comfortable, clean, spacious, and well-stocked (above and beyond!). We felt as if we were staying at a family home. George was very responsive to any questions we had with a local caretaker available to come by to assist us with anything we needed. The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable, large, clean, and generously stocked - even with a special touch of hospitality providing local Mastiha bath products for our use. The kitchen was also full of any items needed for cooking as well as coffees, condiments, and some snacks. The washing machine was a great bonus for us traveling with three children. A comfortable, clean crib and high chair were provided for us which made our stay seamless and helped reduce what we had to travel with. The house was just 10 minutes from the airport and an easy, quick drive down to the port. The home has a two car garage available for your use or convenient off-street parking immediately adjacent to the house. Water views were stunning from the multiple balconies in the evenings. The home is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood. Additionally, the beautiful pool complete with its own outdoor shower, bathroom, and patio area for enjoying coffee or a meal were wonderful on afternoons that we did not go out but wanted to keep the kids busy and relax at the house. There were air conditioners in each room, keeping the house temperature comfortable and showers were always warm. There is much more to compliment - if you are looking for a large house to share comfortably with family, we highly recommend this property. It was a home away from home and we would absolutely stay here again when we return to Chios!
There was nothing that we did not enjoy here! Our only comment was that the house number is not clear from the street (hard to identify easily when driving by that it is the house you are looking for) BUT George arranged for his caretaker to meet us at a local restaurant that is a two minute drive from the house and he took us straight to the property and showed us around, how to use keys, outdoor lights, etc. This is a small suggestion that really just has to do with us being American and not knowing exactly how houses are numbered/identified in Greece (we are used to a number above a garage, on the front gate/door).
