What an incredible gem! Our stay at Auberge du Presbytère was nothing short of magical. Our room was romantic, spacious, and so comfortable, with lovely windows overlooking the village and mountains. The restaurant was perfect, and the staff was always available, accommodating, and helpful. The pool was lovely, quiet, and outdid the photos--no screaming kids or loud music, just perfect tranquility. We loved how all of the other guests were respectful of shared spaces and leaned into the peaceful vibe of the hotel and village. Parking was always available and super convenient (no lugging your suitcase up cobblestoned streets!). The village of Saignon was a welcome escape from more touristy areas of the Provence region while being close to everything, and it felt like our own personal paradise. We cannot wait to return to Auberge du Presbytère!
If peaceful is your vibe, this is the perfect hotel and village for you! If you want to be within walking distance of more shops and restaurants, I recommend Loumarin nearby. Saignon features a handful of restaurants, one little patisserie/snack shop, and 1-2 shops, which was perfect for us.
Also, like many in the area, the roads to get up to the village are narrow, windy, and steep. We recommend renting a small car with good horsepower! The transmission on our little MG hybrid was struggling on the hills :)

Food was delicious at the restaurant. Staff extremely kind and helpful. Room, hotel and pool were great.
Town is quiet - no grocery stores and only a handful of restaurants. Car needed.

The room was beautifully decorated and clean.
There is no parking at the hotel itself, you have to park 300m away in a public car park - Not ideal when you have luggage.
The swimming pool is not located on the property but at another private property which is a good walk and shared with whoever is staying at this property therefore a bit awkward. The swimming pool is not tiled but surrounded by overgrown weeds which were up to my knees. The walk down to the swimming pool was also extremely overgrown.
When raised with the hotel director, she shrugged her shoulders and said that it was what it was.. not very helpful.
