The outside was good, access easy as long as it wasnt raining which I was lucky, it wasnt. The decor sort of matched.
Woundnt stay here again if you paid me.
The caretaker was hopeless. More interested in money than customer service. He addressed me as 'broh', which is cool when you actually pay attention to a customer's needs and get on the level. Not when you message 3 times to confirm check in after already confirming.
The room floor was dirty, the sheets were not fresh, the toilet had not been cleaned from the previous occupiers. When I asked it to be cleaned he first just swept it, didnt mop until I asked. Then he made excuses that the cleaners were not there because of a festival.
He said they would clean it the next day. He then came and did all the housekeeping himself while I was out and needed to borrow my key to do it, had no spare, also cupboard lock was not provided, so I had to lock my bags up.
The photos say there is a kitchenette, dont be fooled there is not. Theres a dining table and chairs.
The place is run on the cheap in off season, all the lighting is bright white, which is extremely off-putting, even in the room. I used my own lamp as there was no bedside lamp and all lighting was bright white LED. Power went out twice and there was no solar backup. There was zero to water, even in the morning.
On the final day, due to an emergency, I had a friend come and stay, I wanted to add them via Booking.com but the listing didnt let me. So I decided to wait till the caretaker comes and when he finally did, he called me in the middle of a meeting and dinner perissitently to ask who the spare shoes belonged to. Not if I wanted help checking in someone who was sick and asleep.
Him and his best buddies were at the front of house speaking in their language and then he demanded not only ID from my friend but also 1000 rupees extra for a NON AC room to add second person, even though online, a second person is FREE. ID is ok, but this is a scam.
