Location was fabulous! <5m walk to ferry, <5m walk to the center of Varenna or the water. The “vintage” feel of the house was lovely and the VIEWs from the porch, the balcony, or most any of the windows were outstanding. Plenty of space in all bedrooms, bathrooms, and comfortable sofas in the living room. The kitchen was nice and there were plenty of dishes available for our 3-day stay. Everything was sparkling clean and it was nice knowing no-one could reach the property because the gate at the road was always locked. There were so many beautiful antiques throughout the house and the stone steps and vintage-tiled floors were breathtaking. When all the windows were open the house gets the best breeze. It truly felt like we were actual Italians living on Lake Como!
Some things to note, ahead of time - the team will ask you to confirm a 1-hour check in window - but the day of, I highly recommend sending them a note of the exact time you plan to arrive (I think this was their intention but the ask wasn’t clear). If you need the team to visit the house (say to fix something or give you more toiletries) you will likely need to buzz them in the gate. There are also a good deal of steps both to get to the house and then inside.
We would absolutely stay here again!
The coffee machine didn’t work as expected and although the team helped - we just walked to town to get proper coffee, no big deal.

The view was incredible could not have asked for a better location. The town of Varenna was our favorite so sweet and not too crowded. We loved staying there over the other more crowded ports on lake Como

The beautiful views of lake Como from windows and terrace were amazing. Villa was a grandiose place and accommodated family of four adequately. Beds were comfy.
Language barrier was a bit challenging to communicate issues like locks and gates. Had some concern it was not cleaned in between stays very well. Floors were dirty and had ants in one of the bathrooms
