The Chalet was large with great views. All bedrooms had very comfortable & heated beds to keep warm. Additional panel heaters in all bedroom and passage also provided.
Bathrooms had all essentials - toiletries as well as bath linen.
The living area was large with a cozy fireplace & stocked with firewood as well as a heat pump to keep warm until the fireplace is fired up.
Onsite barbeque was available to use.
A well stocked kitchen to cook your own meals. Also available microwave, hob & chimney, oven & dishwasher.
Tea kettle, a great coffee machine, french press & stocked with all essentials - coffee pods, instant coffee, ground coffee, tea bags the works.
Plenty of onsite parking for cars.
A lot of board games to keep the family busy, also a lot of sporting gear was available - rugby ball & football cricket gear & tennis rackets.
Our host Toni was extremely friendly & kind and we were accommodated an early check - in request.
Beautiful views from all around & on a clear day Mt Ruapehu's snow capped peaks are clearly visible.
All in all a fully functional home away from home & highly recommended for a comfortable family stay.
Since we travelled during school holiday's, the price we felt was a bit high.
The location is about 5 kms drive from all the cafes, restaurants & shops.
The kitchen sink & 2nd bathroom basin could do with an upgrade to a water mixer instead of separate taps for hot & cold water but not a deal breaker just a suggestion.

The fireplace was a bonus for us. House was really clean and kids loved the toys. They were also really excited to see the horse at the backyard and even patted it. We got there late at night and eventhough the weather was gloomy kids still had time to run around outside played before we checked out. The house had everything you needed even heated blankets. Really enjoyed our stay and we hope to visit again in the future.
