The manager of the property was very accommodating and the check-in process was very smooth. The hotel has beautifully styled rooms with a combination of Colonial/Chinese style architecture, as I would describe it. The beds in the room were very comfortable and the room had everything I needed during my stay. The location is in a beautiful area right in the center of Luang Prabang, and the town itself is definitely worth a visit. The air-con in the room worked well and could be set on a quiet mode, which I always find important in a climate like that of Laos.
That said, it seemed that the walls of the building I stayed in were very thin, and sounds from outside and from my neighbor guests could easily be heard. Also some parts of the room seemed to be a bit outdated, such as the toilet seat that tried to slam shut every time you sat down on it, relatively few power sockets throughout the room. Also I couldn't figure out how to use the top shower head, and the main lock of the door was broken (for which the host provided a chain lock so I could still lock my room at night). These were minor things, but they should be mentioned when giving an honest review.
