This property is two floors above a shop close to the centre of Hebden Bridge. It's clear that the owners have a flair for interior design, and the entire property is beautifully laid out and decorated in sumptuous dark colours. Tastefully quirky sums it up. There's a truly wonderful kitchen, a very comfortable living room, and bathroom on the first floor, and then a large airy bedroom on the second floor. It's clear that the owners have spent a lot of time decorating the place, and it's delightful to stay in. There's also free parking opposite the place. This was our first ever overnight in Hebden Bridge, which had been described to me as "The Glastonbury of the north". Having lived in Glastonbury for 13 years I can say this isn't the case at all, but HB does have a degree of alternative / hippy vibes, and we saw a very good band at the Trades Club which is only a few minutes from the property. A short walk in the other direction from the property is a community owned pub called the Fox & Goose which is one of the best pubs I've been in for a while. All in all this was a lovely overnight stay and it's highly likely we'll return to HB for Trades Club gigs, and we'll certainly book Goose Garden again if it's available.
