Extremely dirty, mouldy and poorly maintained accommodation. Completely unacceptable for families with children.

Unfortunately, there was nothing positive about my experience that I could honestly highlight. The condition of the property was extremely disappointing.

This was one of the worst accommodation experiences I have ever had. I stayed here with my two children, and I was shocked by the condition of the property. There was visible mould in several areas, including the bathroom. The carpets were extremely dirty, stained and worn out. The entire property smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, despite being advertised as accommodation suitable for guests. The toilet seat was broken, the walls were damaged, the blinds did not work properly, and there were exposed wires that raised serious safety concerns. The property was poorly maintained and did not appear to have been properly cleaned before our arrival. Basic supplies were also missing, including dishwasher tablets and washing machine detergent, despite guests being expected to clean up after themselves. I documented the problems with photographs and videos. What made the experience even worse was the attitude of the management. Before arriving, I had been involved in a road accident in Scotland and contacted the property to explain the situation and request a cancellation and refund. They refused to offer any flexibility or understanding. After such a stressful experience, arriving with two children to find accommodation in this condition was extremely upset. I believe the photographs advertising this property are misleading compared with its actual condition. Booking.com should investigate the cleanliness, maintenance and safety standards of this accommodation. No family should have to pay to stay in such conditions. I would not recommend this property to anyone, particularly families with children. I am requesting a refund because the accommodation was significantly below reasonable expectations.

Not Super Clean

The location was a bit further from the Royal Mile than what we expected. However, they were able to amazingly accommodate our need to book the day of and let us drop off our baggage before the check-in time. The host I texted on WhatsApp was amazingly helpful and kind.

It took a little more work to contact the host. I called, and they made me hang up and text another person through WhatsApp. It was not clean. The walls and carpet had lots of stains. The lobby was filthy and smelled greatly of cigarette smoke.

A wonderful apartment in a great location with comfortable beds and an excellent host.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. The location is perfect, with tram and bus stops practically right outside the door. Everything was close by. The beds were comfortable and the apartment had everything we needed for a great stay. Communication with the host was excellent. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Edinburgh. We will definitely keep it in mind for our future visits.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. The location is perfect, with tram and bus stops practically right outside the door. Everything was close by. The beds were comfortable and the apartment had everything we needed for a great stay. Communication with the host was excellent. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Edinburgh. We will definitely keep it in mind for our future visits.
