The location was fantastic, so close to everything we needed. All within walking distance-shopping, Chinatown, Swanson Street, markets.
The pool and gym were great and hosts very responsive.

The apartment itself was central, quiet, and generally clean, making it highly convenient for our time in Melbourne. The facilities are indeed good - gym, steam room, sauna, pool.
Check-in process was a disaster. Host offered early check-in for a fee, which we declined. When we arrived at 5pm, 2 hours after 3pm check-in time, keys were not at collection point (a walk away from the apartment lobby) because the cleaner forgot to leave them. We were told to wait 15min and we agreed we will wait in the lobby, but a DiDi link later showed a 40min travel time. Then, the keys were sent back to the collection point instead of the lobby, forcing us to walk back out to retrieve them. We finally gained entry at 6pm, 3 hours later than the advertised check-in time, while managing luggage with my 70+ year-old parents.
The apartment had major maintenance issues: the dishwasher was broken (with a tissue jammed into the button instead), multiple light bulbs were out, a bedroom door couldn't close due to warped wood, the smoke alarm was covered with a plastic bag. Only one key was provided for a 2-bedroom unit. When raised, they explained they then "noted and arranged with maintenance accordingly" and refused to consider any kind of compensation. I wonder how the cleaner or the host didn't notice?
During our stay the building suffered a 3h power outage that left my elderly parents trapped with no lights, heating or water in winter. While this was outside the host's control, they failed to communicate with us. They probably should inform their guests that a significant issue has impacted the building, in case we were stuck inside/outside and unsure of what was happening.
