Genuinely one of the best stays I’ve had in almost ten years of travelling. I originally booked five nights but loved it so much that I ended up extending my stay for another week.
The property is phenomenal: incredibly spacious, luxurious, peaceful and private, with views that are even better in person than in the photos. I travelled alone and had far more space than I could possibly use, so it would also be perfect for couples, families or groups. The community pool and the secure, gated setting were great additions.
I also much preferred this part of Mauritius to Grand Baie. You’re close to Le Morne, Black River Gorges, beautiful beaches and some great places for snorkeling, while still having a very quiet and secluded place to come back to.
Most importantly, Laurent was exceptional, incredibly friendly, responsive and helpful throughout my stay. He immediately helped whenever I needed anything and gave me great recommendations for restaurants, beaches and things to do. He really went out of his way to make the stay special.
Easily one of my favourite places I’ve stayed anywhere, and absolutely worth it.
Very little. The property is quite secluded, so I’d strongly recommend renting a car. The coastal roads can also take some getting used to at night. There was some construction nearby during my stay, which occasionally caused noise during the day, and being so close to nature means you may encounter some small insects, but neither significantly affected my stay.
