First of all: cows, cows, and more cows. In one word — perfection, if you love nature and an authentic rural atmosphere. My nieces absolutely loved the cows and the cats. Just be careful not to let the cats inside if you keep the door open — they are very friendly and clearly looking for company. And do give them some water and food.
It is quite a drive from the bottom of the hill to the apartment, and the road is winding, but that is exactly what you would expect if you are looking for privacy, peace and quiet, and a true rural tourism experience. If you are heading to Rogla via the upper road, keep in mind that a good part of it is gravel. If you do not enjoy driving on gravel roads, I would recommend going down and taking the route via Zreče instead. There is also a small grocery store in Oplotnica.
The apartment is large, well laid out, clean, and nicely furnished. The mattresses in the bedrooms are very comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped. If you are visiting during the summer, one small downside is that there are no insect screens on the windows, so be careful when turning on the lights in the evening. However, this is only a minor issue and does not affect the overall rating.
