Very friendly host, he alerted us late in the evening that there was northern light visible - we would certainly have missed it otherwise. Cottage is small and basic, but more than fine for two. It was fresh and clean, warm, with modern bathroom and good beds. Kitchen has a small electric stove and a small microwave. But coffee and tea were provided and there is a gas-fired BBQ. Very quiet place, nicely located versus Reykholt, Grabrok crater, Husafell, Hraunfoss, Langjokull.

Todo. La cabaña tenía un encanto muy especial, no solo por la ubicación que tiene un atardecer espectacular con vistas al río sino que la cabaña tenía todo lo necesario, muy completa y de forma muy cuidada y limpia. Se nota que además es muy nueva y está todo a estrenar. El dueño es encantador, nos dio un recibimiento muy bueno y nos explicó todo al detalle. Tienen una perrita preciosa. Si volviésemos a Borgarnes, sin duda nos volveríamos a alojar aquí.

Beautiful location, private, quiet, very clean, modern bathroom and amenities, responsive owners, friendly and gorgeous dog who visited us several times for cuddles. The air conditioning floor fan was essential to keep the room cool
The vertical blinds are not good at excluding the nocturnal light. A high table to eat on would be preferable to the coffee table. Bedside lamps would be nice for the evening. Some storage for clothes such as shelves would be a useful addition. The cottage gets very hot if the sun is out. Unfortunately we were not able to turn off the bathroom radiator. The owner came and did this from outside but it remained on a low level of heat. The room regularly reached 30 degrees even with the blinds shut through the day. It took several hours to cool it to a comfortable temperature with the fan. Instructions for the garbage and fan would be useful.
