Comfortable bach in a great location near the sea

Great location. Really comfortable. The weather was atrocious but we were warm and cosy in The Bach. The place is modern, spacious and well appointed with excellent off street parking. A short walk to the sea at the end of the street and an easy walk to the Peninsula tracks. Enjoyed the peace away from hubbub of Kaikoura .

The property is so close to being five star but fell short on some of the technology. The induction stovetop was great until it failed and wasn’t repaired during our stay. The universal remote didn’t turn on the tv. Had to be done manually. The soundbar wasn’t connected to the tv. The heated towel rail didn’t work. Ditto the earlier review regarding side lighting in the bedrooms. The single bulb is a bit harsh and inconvenient. This is shared in the spirit of wanting the hosts to succeed. It is close to great and with a few tweaks will get there. Very positive interaction with the hosts.
