The location is ideal, a short 20 minute walk into the beautiful and authentic French town of L’isle Sur La Sorgue with its fantastic markets and boutique stores. The riverfront terrace is just perfection with lovely furniture to use. It is incredibly family friendly too as the waterfront is very secure with railings yet still very accessible. We had a lovely kayak around the island on the two kayaks available to use.
The property interior is beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. The large master room was sumptuous whilst the other rooms were smaller but perfectly formed. Upstairs has air con whilst downstairs doesn’t but the interior was lovely and cool in 30 degree heat.
The host is very responsive and helpful, he popped over to the property quickly when we had a minor issue (our fault, not theirs!).
There is the added benefit of the private pool to the front of the property. We did end up asking for it to be heated (which is an additional cost) as it was a little chilly for us and our toddler, but such a great addition.
Overall this villa is exceptional and we would wholeheartedly book again
Not a negative necessarily but it is worth pointing out that the property is on a main road out of the town. The villa is set back behind a wall and electric fence, but there is road noise. It wasn’t an issue for us, however, and it does mean you can walk into the town very easily via the beautiful riverside footpath.
A bread knife would be great considering the amount of delicious baguette we ate!
