Amazing to stay in an old library and the location is incredible! Was nicely furnished.
The kitchen needed a little more kitchen equipment. The bed in the main bedroom was small. The pressure in the shower was not great and it was extremely cold when arriving in the property which made it very uncomfortable to begin with. We had only two towels for three of us which was disappointing. Otherwise it was a very nice property.

Staying in a former library was such a unique experience, and I absolutely loved the history and character of the building. The property was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. It really was a lovely place. I had a query about parking which was responded to really quickly! Parking was in the multi-story a two minute walk away and everything else was on the door step!
I was visiting my son, who lives in Stafford, and even he was amazed! He passes the building most days on his way to work and said he couldn’t believe how beautiful it was inside. It really is a hidden gem!
One small observation, and certainly not a major issue or something that detracted from my stay, was the absence of books! As a headteacher with a background in literacy and a lifelong passion for reading, I couldn’t help but feel this was a little missed opportunity, particularly with the wonderful original ‘Children’s Room’ sign still above the entrance. A small collection of books or a cosy reading corner would have been such a lovely nod to the building’s history and added an extra touch of magic to an already special place. But that’s probably just the book lover in me!
There was nothing not to like!

The location was excellent for what we wanted.
It would have been nice if the hosts had left a pint of milk in the fridge for us to make a cup of tea after a long journey.

Tidy. Compact. Clean.
Location. Opposite a very noisy pub. And no parking locally: we got a ticket.
Towels were very small and scratchy.
No wardrobe space to hang up clothes.
