We loved the beautiful pool, the water was super clean and warm. The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained. The apartment was very clean and beds super comfortable.
Overall, we had an enjoyable holiday, but there were aspects of our stay that unfortunately affected the experience.
The residence itself is a mix of permanent residents and holiday apartments. During our stay, we couldn’t help but feel there was some underlying tension between residents and the constant turnover of holidaymakers. At times, this made us feel a little unwelcome. We occasionally noticed unfriendly looks and found that some residents seemed reluctant to acknowledge us, even when greeting others. Of course, everyone is entitled to keep to themselves, but over the course of our stay it created an atmosphere that felt less welcoming than we had hoped for.
The pool area was clean and well maintained, but we were surprised by how restrictive some of the rules were. While these rules may help maintain a peaceful environment, they made it difficult to fully relax and enjoy the facilities in what is, after all, a holiday setting. We constantly felt watched and policed by the residents of the complex. This is in no way relaxing and at one point we could not wait to leave.
None of these issues ruined our holiday, but they did leave us feeling slightly self-conscious when using the shared facilities. We feel that with a warmer atmosphere towards holiday guests and a slightly more relaxed approach to the communal areas, the experience could be much more enjoyable for everyone.
The accommodation itself has many positives, and with a few small improvements to the overall atmosphere, it could be an even better place to stay.
