Dea’s home is a traditional old town apartment just 100m from the Duomo and is ideal for exploring the Amalfi coast and Salerno. There is a stone flight of stairs to the apartment but these are easily navigated
Host Vincenzo is fantastic, with great pre arrival communications via booking.com, then WhatsApp which included a pdf of how to find the apartment and access the keys. Throughout our stay Vincenzo checked in to ensure that all was ok and giving tips on events happening in town (we were lucky to be here for the final 2 days of the San Matteo celebrations).
The kitchen/dining room is well equipped should you wish to self cater with a comprehensive range of utensils and crockery plus a full sized hob, fridge freezer and coffee maker. French windows and a small balcony overlook the courtyard and a washing line and pegs are off the balcony.
The bedroom off the kitchen/dining room has plenty of storage space, comfortable bed and pillows. The aircon unit is in this room and is quiet and efficient. As we were here for an extended stay, Vincenzo kindly arranged an exchange of towels and bedding mid stay so that we didn’t have to launder these items ourselves. This is exceptional service from an apartment owner
After passing through the bedroom, you come to the bathroom with shower, sink, bidet, toilet and washing machine (ideal as we were touring for 4 weeks). The boiler is also located here so this room is always warm.
Wifi throughout the apartment was fast and reliable, essential for my photo editing and posting.
Just minutes away on the road parallel to the Duomo road is a small family owned bakery, ideal for read and breakfast treats. 15 minutes walk gets you to a decent sized, reasonably priced supermarket.
Dea’s Home was perfect for our stay in Salerno, fantastic accommodation in a beautiful city with most welcoming people. Vincenzio, thank you for helping us experience this city to the full. Perfect accommodation, 5 star host.

Ho prenotato per una sola persona ma non era chiaro al proprietario. Come kit di benvenuto mi ha lasciato solo due cialde per il caffè, neppure un po di acqua.

Location was really good in the middle of old town. Shop, restaurants and museums near.
English service would be nice in future.
