What a fun last minute weekend. Found Lumber Jill Lodge online and it looked super cute. Reasonable price for the weekend and when we got there the room did not disappoint. We needed something dog friendly and this was perfect. Clean and comfortable. Perfect distance from the local shops/restaurants and a 20 minute ride to the Interstate parks. The check-in and checkout was simple, perfect for what we needed. We were offered.a discount to stay longer and if I could have I would have. Thank you!

If I were going to pick something I would have liked the fire pit area to be more organized and easier to put the chairs down and make a fire. This could be cleaned up a bit.

Liked the location. We are building a cabin closeby and love the inexpensive option of staying a few nights rather than driving back to the cities. The room was super clean. Then bed was super comfortable.

No breakfast. But there is a coffe shop nearby. Wish there was a chair to sit in an read and put on my shoes.

Great price, awesome bathroom. Easy to find. There was an on site manager that was a treat. Worth every penny he is paid.

Door lock mechanisms did not work on two different rooms. We were stuck in the cold and dark for far too long until someone returned our call from the emergency help number where we had left two frustrated messages. Onsite manager (awesome, kind and funny man) was ultimately able to get us in. We realized within 30 or so minutes that the heat barely worked. This was after maybe 10pm. No thermostat so not sure what the temp was but it was COLD, even by the next morning though we had it left it at the maximum heat setting all night long. We were two travelers using two queen beds. There was only one blanket in a dresser, otherwise only the sheet and bedspread. Slept fully dressed, under all available covers (and actually slept great once my feet thawed). The most disappointing part was that though the person on the phone who answered our messages was trying to be helpful, she never said she was sorry or responded to my texts once we got into the room after the lock issue. I should point out one of the previous ratings said they had problems with the door locks too. They've obviously done a lot of work to improve this lodge but there are still issues they need to address. Still, believe it or not, I would give them another chance. So much potential there!
