NO LOS RECOMIENDO, Y LES DEJO EL CONTEXTO PARA QUE PUEDAN LEERLO
CUIDADO CON EL DEPÓSITO DE SEGURIDAD
Nuestra experiencia fue que el depósito de seguridad nunca fue reembolsado. Durante varias ocasiones se nos informó que el reembolso sería enviado en una fecha específica, pero esto no ocurrió y, posteriormente, dejamos de recibir respuesta a nuestros mensajes.
Es importante que quienes reserven soliciten información clara sobre el manejo del depósito de seguridad y conserven toda la evidencia de pagos y conversaciones para cualquier reclamación que sea necesaria.
ACTUALIZACIÓN | SÚPER TEDIOSO
En Booking.com la reserva aparece o aparecía como “sin pago por adelantado”. Sin embargo, después de reservar se nos solicitó un depósito de seguridad de $300 fuera de la plataforma. Cumplimos con lo solicitado y conservamos todos los comprobantes y conversaciones.
Al finalizar nuestra estadía, entregamos la unidad en excelentes condiciones y contamos con video y evidencia del estado en que fue entregada. Aun así, durante 20 días tuvimos que escuchar en cinco ocasiones que el reembolso sería enviado en determinada fecha. Cinco promesas. Cinco incumplimientos.
Lo más preocupante no fue solamente tener nuestro dinero retenido. Fue el descaro, la falta de profesionalismo y la manera en que se manejó la situación. En lugar de resolver, tuvimos que insistir, llamar y presentar reclamaciones ante Booking.com, Airbnb y DACO para obtener un dinero que nos correspondía.
Finalmente, después de todas estas gestiones, el depósito fue reembolsado.
Y queremos dejar algo claro: como le expresamos a la representante de Booking.com, el dinero no era nuestra mayor preocupación, aunque nos pertenecía. Nuestra preocupación era pensar en aquella persona mayor, aquel turista o aquella familia que quizás no sabe cómo reclamar, no conoce sus derechos o simplemente se cansa después de recibir tantas promesas.
Porque si para recuperar $300 tuvimos que insistir durante 20 días y acudir a diferentes instancias, ¿qué ocurre con quienes no tienen las herramientas o el conocimiento para hacerlo?
El reembolso finalmente llegó, pero la falta de respeto, el manejo poco profesional y la experiencia vivida no desaparecen porque el dinero haya sido devuelto.
Por todo lo ocurrido, NO RECOMENDAMOS ESTE ALOJAMIENTO.
