Wonderful stay! Andreas is incredibly warm and helpful.
Upon my arrival, trains from Bern to Spiez were widely cancelled due to a traffic accident. He patiently talked me through alternative train and bus connections, and even kindly drove to Spiez Station to pick me up. I really appreciated him going out of his way for me.
The breakfast was abundant and tasty, featuring delicious homemade jams, fresh bread, coffee, juice, cheese and bacon every morning.
They have an adorable dog named Emily, who was very sweet and let me pet her. Andreas also taught me how to say “cute” in German — süß .
He also offered great local travel advice. After hearing my travel plans, Andreas helped me optimise my tight itinerary, pointed out time‑consuming arrangements I could skip, and gave me practical local maps. My trip became much smoother thanks to his suggestions.
Absolutely recommend this place if you visit Spiez!

Wir haben uns super willkommen gefühlt, der Blick vom Balkon, der Garten … ach es hat alles gestimmt. Und ganz großes Dankeschön für die tollen Tipps und das wunderbare Frühstück. Wir haben uns super Wohlgefühlt und kommen definitiv wieder! Viele Grüße Lea, Pauli und Susi!
