The unit itself being situated within a gated and secure community (Grand Eden, 8 mile) was part of what made our stay feel safe. There was a small market just outside the main gate where we could walk to and buy vegetables or betelnut, this was convenient. The apartment manager made sure our electricity was always enough and that the TV plan was topped up. We had hot water, and all the necessary kitchen utensils to cook and clean.
The entire area was quiet and Daniel (apartment manager) was such a pleasant guy, very friendly and respectful. Thank you Daniel for your wonderful hospitality and impeccable customer service standards.
Bathroom: Overall, the bathroom was very clean, however there was a small amount of visible mold in the shower when we first got there, but not a put off. Just threw some gloves on, scrubbed it down using the cleaning detergents (came with the rental) and Bob's your uncle.
Kitchen: Some of the cooking pots were rusty so we did not use them to cook. There was an oven but no baking utensils, not a must have, but as a person who likes baking, it would've been a plus for me personally.

My husband and two girls love the newly built one bedroom apartment. The couch in the living room can be turned into a bed. My 10 year old stayed for free. The staff was friendly and attentive. The unit was clean and has everything we needed. We brought a container of some of the things we thought we would need, such as toiletries and kitchenware. But we didn't use them as most of the common things were provided. The compound was clean, quiet, and has a car park, too. The compound is secured. There are two large containers of water in the unit as standby should water cut off is experienced. It was a great experience and we loved it. We recommend this place to any traveler looking for a comfortable space, which is also cheaper than other places and makes you feel at home.
The thing that we would not have liked is to experience a power outage for a longer period. We only experienced a power outage for about 30 minutes, which was okay with us. There is no stand-by generator for the compound if disruption to electricity continues for a long period. In this case, have a backup plan such as charged power banks, laptops and phones, torch or battery/solar lamps. You will love and enjoy the place just like we did for 3 nights.
