We were here because we wanted to revisit the Valley of Rocks: which is a ten minute walk down the road. So we had plenty of time to hike in, up and around it. Excellent. The apartment is a 2 bedroom, with good self catering facilities. Lynton is compact, so you are no more than 5 minutes from anything. We appreciated the electric chargers down in Lynmouth, which were accessible and working. Charged up quicker than it took to get served at the fish and chippy!
We had some mild worry before the start when the host didn't reply till several days after we booked. In the event, she gave us the details of how to get in (lock box) the day before we arrived.
We had some chilly nights, and the heating boost was rather byzantine to work out how to switch on.
You can't really complain about the parking, because it's a small village with narrow streets - there was public
parking but not cheap. We managed to get the vanishingly rare free street parking twice, so parking charges didn't bankrupt us.
As a data point (not a complaint) fish and chips and mushy peas is £16 in Devon, but £12 here in York. And we are further from the sea!
