Location is perfect. Half a block to Pultney Bridge and about 5 minute to the Abbey and Roman Baths. Comfy King Bed, nice tiny and functional kitchen stocked with coffee and tea. Cute place - Recommend if you are able to handle steep stairs with your luggage and step over a thigh high tub to shower to bathe. Important to know.
Internet was slow and spotty. Not fast enough for remote work, which I am doing on this trip - fortunately, we visited over a weekend. We also didn’t realize the entrance was at the bottom of steep stairs and had to carry very heavy luggage up and down. This and the thigh-high deep tub should be noted in the important information section. We are fit, older adults, so it was OK - although the stairs would have been too much for me alone with a 50 lb suitcase, but had we had issues with stairs or stepping over a tall tub, this could have been an inaccessible unit. Sharing so staff can update the description and important information. There was also perfect place where we could have stored our luggage (locked little foyer area with no need to fully enter the property) before the inflexible 4 pm check in, but there was no help or flexibility from the staff with this option so we had to hang out with our luggage or choose to pay 60 pounds to store six bags for a few hours. Staff can only be voice-called for quick assistance, and this was an issue with our international plan which allowed text, WhatsApp…but not phone calls without incurring a steep charge. We had issues finding the right property and lockbox and fortunately did figure it out, but we struggled and did reach out through Booking.com and it took several hours to hear back - and the message was to call them. The property is lovely overall and we did really enjoy our stay, (except for the spotty internet) but I’m sharing because these are important things for the next visitors, especially any with physical issues that could make the unit or bathing inaccessible.
