Constant Construction Noise and Host Refusal to Refund

Large TV

One of the most disappointing stays I have had on Booking and the first time I actually requested a refund or rated a place below 5. The apartment had multiple issues: few water and electricity cut-offs without notice, poor cleanliness on arrival, shower drainage problems that flooded the bathroom floor, and missing basic essentials like soap, detergent, toilet paper, and proper kitchenware. The biggest problem was the noise. There were ongoing construction works next door in multiple floors mostly from around 8am to 5pm, including weekends, without any warning in the listing. Some days the noise and banging even continued into the late evening well beyond 5pm. We could hear everything because the apartment door and walls provide almost no sound insulation. Even without the construction works, there seems to be a nearby business operating with people constantly banging heavy doors from early morning, so noise would likely remain an issue even when construction works done. I asked to leave early and receive at least a partial refund because the construction noise was never disclosed beforehand, but the owner refused, arguing that the construction works were “limited.” For someone coming on vacation to relax, that argument felt absurd — the payment I made certainly was not “limited” nor refunded.

Mon séjour était excellent et la prochaine fois que je viendrai à nabeul je reviendrai dans le même logement.

Mon expérience dans cet endroit a été très agréable et le lieu était propre et bien entretenu et j’ai vraiment tout apprécié Même le personnel était très aimable et accueillant et je vous recommande vivement de venir y passer un bon séjour vous allez vraiment aimer l’hébergement. Sincèrement je le recommande fortement.

Je n’ai rien à reprocher au contraire tout était très très bien.

Mon expérience dans cet endroit a été très agréable et le lieu était propre et bien entretenu et j’ai vraiment tout apprécié Même le personnel était très aimable et accueillant et je vous recommande vivement de venir y passer un bon séjour vous allez vraiment aimer l’hébergement. Sincèrement je le recommande fortement.

Je n’ai rien à reprocher au contraire tout était très très bien.
