Amazing stay for a weekend away

Loved the area and just the whole treetop lodge, beds very comfortable and warm

Wij kwamen alleen om te slapen en voor de Efteling, hadden lage verwacht dus voor ons was het prima.

Het is een gezellige boomhut, die lekker kraakt! Alles was aanwezig wat wij nodig hadden. Leuke details zoals een spechtje als deurbel. We waren, na het lezen van de recensies, bang om een vies huisje aan te treffen maar dit viel alles mee. Het was echt niet krakend helder en hier en daar lag stof of hing een spinnenweb maar het is dan ook een boomhut en geen luxe villa.

De locatie, het park, is echt vergane glorie. Je zit niet in de natuur, maar op een bouwplaats. Huisje staat naast drukke weg, dus echt wel herrie. Hier kun je last van hebben als gast. Wij hadden hier geen last van.

Het lijkt verreweg niet op wat ze beloven op de website

We waren wat vroeger gearriveerd maar konden al in het huisje. De sleutel zat in een sleutelkluisje. We werden vriendelijk geholpen door de receptioniste. Het huisje is knus, heeft een leuke veranda en een houten spechtje als deurbel. In de kinderkamer is een klein muizenholletje op de muur getekend. Alles kraakt maar dat hoort in een houten boomhut.

De grote weg loopt vlak achter het huisje langs waardoor je (vooral op doordeweekse dagen) heel erg veel last hebt van het lawaai. Hierdoor kon je niet lekker buiten op de veranda zitten en werd al weer vroeg wakker door het (vracht)verkeer. Ook zit je vlakbij de vliegbasis waardoor er met regelmaat helicopters laag overvliegen. Het is zeker geen rustige plek in de natuur, wat je wel verwacht bij een boomhut. Het huisje was niet schoon, de badkamervloer was vies (3 grote natte plukken haar) en onder het bed lag heel veel (plukken) stof. De gordijntjes misten bij allemaal wel bevestigingshaakjes of -wieltjes waardoor het allemaal wat slordig hangt. Er lagen haren van dieren op de leuning van de bank. Het park ziet er op de website erg mooi uit met een waterspeelplaats voor kinderen, daar was zo goed als niks meer van over. Ook het zwembad nodigt niet uit, het is een saai, kaal bad. Ook het kleuterbad is niet meer dan een bak met water. De aanleg van het park is ook niet wat ze op de website laten zien. Naast de boomhut leek het wel op een bouwplaats. Het lijkt erop dat het nu nog draait op seizoensplaatsen. Wij zouden er met kinderen niet willen verblijven. Wij zijn een dag eerder naar huis gegaan.

Het is een gezellige boomhut, die lekker kraakt! Alles was aanwezig wat wij nodig hadden. Leuke details zoals een spechtje als deurbel.
