-proximity to ADVENT hospital, where my husband was recuperating from surgery
-bathtub had stopper so that I could take a deep hot bath after being wadded up and stressed with worry, the 18+ hours prior to arrival
-the ability to prepare light dinner and store refrigerated items in communal kitchen
-easy access code for both front door and room #1
-arriving in the rain/dark,, dedicated parking immediately in front (would definitely help to have the townhouse number illuminated)
-host answering my phone call re: availability when Dr. kept Jim an additional night
-bed very firm and comfortable , temperature just right; rolled on my sleeping side, pulled duvet over me (brought my own pillow) and conked out for incredibly NEEDED 4 1/2 hours of sleep.
-complete surprise when three other tenants arrived within five minutes of my getting inside. Had not even found the light switch! They quietly went about their evening of dinner prep. Had I not had so many “squirrels” tap-dancing in my head and woken up prior to, breakfast preparations, and smells at perhaps 5 a.m.? of one (working? ) tenant WOULD have woken me.
-Small ‘domestic’ between woman, her mother ? and her daughter about use of their car going on outside front door when I was exiting (including very pointed comment about wishing that she didn’t have an Airbnb next-door and the types of awful people who could be staying there as a result!?!
-not having room available a second night. Econo Lodge was further distant and despite more privacy, less appealing
