We chose this accommodation based on its positive guest reviews, but were very disappointed and found ourselves wanting to spend as little time there as possible.
There was undisclosed construction next door, with noise starting early each morning. We were also woken by very loud Hindu prayers. We raised this with the manager, who reduced the volume somewhat, but it remained disruptive.
Our bedroom window had no glass pane, meaning we had to keep the shutters closed for privacy, leaving the room completely dark and making outside noise more noticeable.
Security was also a concern. We were given the only set of master keys for the entire villa, which the manager repeatedly needed. After we returned them, the main villa door was left unlocked. The street itself was in complete darkness at night, and it was only on our second day that the manager turned on the property's outside lighting. As two women travelling together, this was unsettling.
We also had no hot water throughout our stay and initially had very poor water pressure. The manager was responsive and improved the pressure, but the hot water was never fixed. We chose not to spend our holiday waiting for repairs and had cold showers throughout.
The air conditioning worked well, but the remote repeatedly failed due to faulty batteries. The manager was responsive, but providing spare batteries would have easily solved the problem.
While the manager was helpful when issues were raised, there were simply too many basic problems and disruptions. Given the reviews that led us to book, this accommodation fell well short of our expectations. The accommodation has potential but it's worth requesting more information before you book.
