My review is going to be somewhat biased as I spent a big chunk of my child and adulthood in this house, spanning decades of wonderful memories. My grandfather bought this house in 1974 and sold it again in 2016. When I saw the house here on booking.com I was overcome with nostalgia and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the new owners had converted our old garage into an en-suite studio room, so I booked it. I was fortunate to have the whole place to myself, there were no guests in the main house. Evenings I lit the fire and sat by the braai pit and days were spent walking to the beach and enjoying beautiful Onrus. The house is only 2 roads from the beach and walking distance. Mornings I opened all the doors and breathed in that crisp and unique Onrus fresh air, which is infused with scents of Milkwood trees and ocean. Just the best. And birds with their morning song. From personal experience I also know what a great house and home this is for families. But like I have said, my review might be biased 😉
