We couldn't believe how wonderful this little house was; it looked lovely on the listing, but that doesn't come close to how magical it is in reality. The finish in the house is impeccable, with lots beautifully crafted natural wood. Outside, the walled garden is HUGE and exquisitely managed, with a large complex of glass houses and an abundant variety of plants to walk through, and it's all private to Gardner's Cottage, apart from the odd actual gardener coming in to look after it all. We stayed to visit Hay Festival, about 25 minutes' drive away, and it complimented that wonderfully. Sitting out in the mornings with coffee chatting and planning the day ahead listening to the birds and the breeze in the trees was beyond idyllic.
I'm struggling to think of anything I would like to see changed; it was perfect!

An incredible setting on a beautiful estate around 30 mins drive from Hay on Wye. Set on the wall of a huge kitchen garden. Jess the lead kitchen gardener was a delight, bringing up newly harvested asparagus!

I would like to say the property was good however there was a problem with the electrical and we had to find alternative accommodation but the hostess was very helpful when it could not be fixed for our stay and we had to find alternative accommodation we where fully compensated for this and I thank them very much.
We had support for the problem we had and we had to find alternative accommodation it spoilt the holiday a bit but these things happen that can not be solved in a few hours
