The unit was nice however the ice maker wasn't working and didn't get fixed until the day before we checked out. I had a security guard at the gate make me back out of the lane I was in just to prove a point. They had two small signs that said a certain tag could use that lane so I thought it meant the issued tag. He was very rude to me and accused me of trying to get by with doing this the day before which I had not. Then they wouldn't let us bring our trailer we had stored offsite to load our golf cart the night before departure for early check out. We ended up having to take the trailer back to the storage lot and load the cart in the rain Sunday morning. I know the rule is HOA driven and because the resort rents their own carts on site but that was more than ridiculous to put your guest out that way. We called the HOA on Saturday to ask permission and were told that no one was working that could approve it over the weekend but that they SOMETIMES approve it as long as we kept the trailer attached to the vehicle. The unit and complex was beautiful and the beds were extremely comfy! However we watched all the guest struggle to park around the large island between the parking spaces. It was great for golf cart parking but not for suv's which is mostly what was there. It was nice but not necessary and no one could make the turn without backing up to go around the island. This was our fourth and probably final stay here at Seascape.

We stayed in Grove dogwood for a music festival at Seascape resort and it was terrific! The property is really really new so everything was clean and in working order. There are two big bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and a bunk room which has two bunks but no door. The kitchen was stocked with dishes, glasses, pots, and pans, etc., but there were no food items at all. Not even salt and pepper. That would be good for next time. We had to dump out a bag of pretzels and save the salt from the bottom of the bag to make eggs, so we survived. Pro tip: bring little packets of salt and pepper and ketchup, etc.! The whole area is under construction, so there was a lot of equipment and walking over dirt paths, but hopefully when we get back next year, it'll all be done.

We did not receive any communication until the day of check-in, though we did appreciate being able to access the unit a bit earlier than expected.I would also note that the online listing for this unit is not accurate. We were not informed until after booking that the unit was not even fully finished, and because of that, there were no actual photos of the unit available beforehand.Upon arrival, we were told that our balcony would have a pool view; however, this was not the case. Instead, our view overlooked ongoing construction. There was quite a bit happening around the resort, and the construction in particular felt somewhat overwhelming at times.While the unit was well-stocked with bathroom towels, we had been told that beach chairs and towels would also be provided, which unfortunately was not the case.That said, the unit itself was very nice and appeared to be completely new. However, it seemed that some appliances had not yet been fully tested, as the oven did not properly cook anything we attempted to prepare.Overall, the space was clean and modern, but there were several discrepancies between the listing and the actual experience that impacted our stay.
