It sounds like you’re writing a hotel review and want to finish/clean it up. Here’s a polished version that keeps your experience and concerns clear while still acknowledging the good parts: Writing Overall, our two-night stay was good, and the staff was super nice. The room was clean, but there was mold growing around the toilet room vent on the ceiling, which was concerning, especially since the hotel is so new. I was also a little confused about why there was a phone in the room but no directory or information on how to contact the front office. We had an issue and needed to call the office, but had no way of getting their number. I tried looking online but wasn’t able to get through. Check-out also took over an hour because there was an issue when they inspected the room before returning our $300 deposit. They found a small chip in the corner of the glass stovetop and told us they could keep the $300 for it. We were very disappointed, especially since we never cooked on the stove. There was actually a small piece of tape indicating that guests were not supposed to cook on it, which made having a stove in the room a little confusing in the first place. We honestly don’t know whether the chip was already there when we arrived or if we somehow caused it. We didn’t notice it during check-in, but we hardly even used that area, so it’s difficult to understand how we would have caused the damage.
