Doctor Fleming sits beside the Castellana in Chamartín, one of the most sought-after residential parts of Madrid, and the avenue is a short walk away. Parks dot the area. The blocks between them are quiet. Plaza de Castilla metro is close, Chamartín station serves trains, and some of the city's best schools are around. The Castellana side brings El Corte Inglés with its gourmet section, plus good restaurants and markets. Weekends can take you on foot toward the Bernabéu.
Step through the entryway, where there is room to hang your coat and leave your shoes, and you enter a living and dining room full of light from windows onto the street. The table seats eight, so Sunday lunch has a place here. The home sits on the fifth floor, with an elevator, and every room is generous.
The kitchen is a walk-in, with a dishwasher, oven, microwave and refrigerator, and a stone-look backsplash that wipes clean and looks good doing it. Each of the three bedrooms has a closet and a comfortable bed, and air conditioning serves the whole home.
Dark tile gives the bathroom its contrast, and a tub makes room for a long, quiet soak. Backlit mirrors and walk-in showers complete the bathrooms. Outside, the terrace catches the morning sun, and breakfast there sets the tone for the day.
